After experiencing some problems with circulation in my feet, I was referred to a vascular specialist where I was fitted for a pair of "prescription" compression socks. The nurse told me that they were normally $120 USD per pair but that they had a special deal with the manufacturer so that they were only $60 USD per pair. I wisely only purchased one pair just to try them out. They were extremely difficult to put on and left red troughs in my upper calves that lasted for days after wearing them. Not a pleasant experience.These socks perform the same function at a tiny fraction of the cost. They're far easier to put on and don't leave grooves in my legs when I take them off. The instructions say to wash them by hand in the sink and pat them dry in a towel to preserve the elasticity (which is the whole point of wearing them), so I've ordered another set of three pairs to extend the time between washings. I also appreciate the stylish designs that don't make me look like my grandpa. An excellent value and I highly recommend them.
